Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup pecans or more
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter or oil of your choice(optional)
  • tsp salt (optional)

Instructions
 

To toast pecans in the oven

  • Spread the pecans out in a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Toast pecans in a 350 F preheated oven on the baking sheet for 6 to 8 minutes. Stir or shake the pan occasionally so the nuts brown evenly and ¬†until they are fragrant and toasted without burning.
  • You can toss the pecan nuts with oil or butter or with some spices or with salt, if you want them to have more defined flavor to it; before placing them into the oven.
  • Remove from oven and let the pecans cool down completely and then store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.

To toast pecans on stove top

  • This is the most convenient way to toast the pecans, if you have a small quantity of pecans to toast.
  • Add the pecans to a skillet and toast over medium-heat until browned and fragrant.
  • You can toss the pecan nuts with oil or butter or with some spices or with salt, if you want them to have defined flavor to it; before placing them onto the stove top.
  • Remove from stove top and let the pecans cool down completely and then store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
