Easy Cast Iron Peach Cobbler Recipe

Easy cast iron peach cobbler made with fresh peaches and a simple batter. Warm, buttery, and perfect served with vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients
  

  • 57 g unsalted butter ½ stick
  • 100 g sugar ½ cup
  • 65 g all-purpose flour ½ cup
  • 120 ml milk ½ cup
  • 2.5 ml vanilla extract ½ teaspoon
  • 2 g baking powder ½ teaspoon
  • 1 g salt ⅛ teaspoon or a pinch
  • 2 peaches (2-3) peeled and sliced

Instructions
 

  • Place butter in an 8-inch cast iron skillet and place inside the oven. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Let it melt while the oven preheats.
  • Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and vanilla. Then add milk and form a smooth batter.
  • Pour batter over the melted butter. Do not stir.
  • Scatter sliced peaches over the batter.
  • Bake for around 50 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Cool slightly and serve warm.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream.
Use sweet and ripe peaches for best results.
For a 9-inch skillet or 9x13 pan, double the recipe.
