Easy Cast Iron Peach Cobbler Recipe

Easy cast iron peach cobbler made with fresh peaches and a simple batter. Warm, buttery, and perfect served with vanilla ice cream.

- 57 g unsalted butter ½ stick
- 100 g sugar ½ cup
- 65 g all-purpose flour ½ cup
- 120 ml milk ½ cup
- 2.5 ml vanilla extract ½ teaspoon
- 2 g baking powder ½ teaspoon
- 1 g salt ⅛ teaspoon or a pinch
- 2 peaches (2-3) peeled and sliced
Place butter in an 8-inch cast iron skillet and place inside the oven. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Let it melt while the oven preheats.
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and vanilla. Then add milk and form a smooth batter.
Pour batter over the melted butter. Do not stir.
Scatter sliced peaches over the batter.
Bake for around 50 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool slightly and serve warm.
Serve with vanilla ice cream.
Use sweet and ripe peaches for best results.
For a 9-inch skillet or 9x13 pan, double the recipe.
