- 200 g Butter
- 3 Eggs
- 100 ml (thick)Yogurt
- 200 g Sugar
- 220 g All purpose flour
- Lemon Zest of two lemons.
- 1/2 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Cream butter and sugar until pale yellow.
Add in eggs one by one.
Add in the lemon zest and then add in the flour and then the yogurt and combine everything together.
Transfer the batter on to a baking vessel and bake at 350 F preheated oven for 40-45 minutes.
Test the doneness of the Lemon cake by poking the center of the cake with a skewer. If it comes out clean,Then our Lemon cake is done!
Brush the top of the lemon cake with a Lemon syrup (optional) will add more lemon flavor in to our lemon cake.
To make the lemon syrup, We will need 4 Tbsp Water, 3 Tbsp sugar, Juice of half of a lemon.Boil until they get a syrup consistency.
