Tips for Perfect Jam Heart Cookies
To get the best buttery, crispy texture every time:
Use softened butter, not melted
Don’t overmix the dough
Chill the dough for 10 minutes if too soft
Fill with only a small amount of jam
Let cookies cool fully for the crispest texture
After baking, you can touch up the center of cookies by adding a little more jam if the heart shape isn’t perfectly defined.
Stir and strain the jam for a smooth, easy-to-fill texture.
