  5. 2 tbsp Cocoa powder
  6. 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract or vanilla powder

  8. 1/8 tsp salt
  9. 1/2 tbsp baking powder
  10. 3/4 cup (150g) semi sweet or milk chocolate chips

How to make this Chocolate Zucchini Bread

1.Preheat the oven

Preheat the oven to 325 F or 165 C.

2.Prepare the baking pan

Prepare the baking pan by greasing the pan(9×5 inch) with some butter and keep it aside.

3.Combine All the Wet Ingredients

Into a bowl, add in the softened butter and sugar and whisk them together.

Add 2 eggs and combine together.

Now add the grated zucchini into this.

If you see the batter getting curdled, don’t worry. It is because of the high proportion of wet ingredients.

It will get resolved when we add dry ingredients into this.

4.Combine all the dry ingredients

Add the cocoa powder, baking powder, vanilla powder and salt into the flour and mix them all together.

Sift and add this into the wet batter.

When it is almost combined ,add the chocolate chips into this.

At this point, after adding the flour, we need to take care not to over mix the batter as it can cause the gluten to develop, which can lead to tough and rubbery chocolate zucchini bread.

5.Transfer the batter on to the prepared baking pan.

Sprinkle the top with some chocolate chips.

6.Bake the Chocolate Zucchini Bread

Bake chocolate chip zucchini bread @ 325 F or 165 C preheated oven for about 65-70 minutes.

If your pan size is different the baking time may vary slightly. If the pan is wider or bigger ,then the baking duration will be (about 10 minutes) lesser.
