I follow your ingredients quantity and instructions to the T. However, after 3 hours of proofing, my dough did not raise😭May I know what went wrong?
Sorry to hear the dough didn't rise properly. As said,if the recipe was followed exactly, then the reason why the "dough didn't rise" is directly related to the action of yeast.I would like to know whether you activate the yeast before adding flour ?If so,did you get a bubbly activated yeast mixture ? If we didn't get that bubbly activated yeast, then the probable reason could be (1)The yeast is not viable ..check the expiry date of yeast or (2)Too much hot milk can kill the yeast activity...the warmth of the milk should be just enough to activate the yeast.Another reason i could guess is,If your place is too cold it may take longer time to rise or in that case you can increase the amount of yeast to 1 tsp next time.Hope this helps.
This is best i have ever seen ! !
Thank you.I am so glad you liked this no knead dinner rolls recipe.
Hi Tony, I use unsalted butter so I can control the amount of salt going into a recipe. By all means you can use salted butter but you d need to reduce the amount of salt that goes in. N x Dear Nagi, this is my first attempt of making bread. Everything was perfect. The bun is super soft and fluffy. Tq so much for the recipe. I learned so much from your video tutorial. Keep up the good work! ?????? Much love from Kay, Malaysia.
It's my first time to make bread and it was a success. Now, I use the same recipe and put cheese and purple yam fillngs in the dinner rolls. Thanks to your easy to follow recipe.

Hi Binet, your breads use all purpose flour. But I’m taught that bread flour (high protein) is best for breads. Yet your breads are so soft. Is it because of the flour or can I continue to use bread flour?
You are right.Bread flour is best for making bread.I use all purpose flour in my recipes because, "all purpose flour" is more easily available for most of us and I found the resulting bread is absolutely soft and delicious. You can use bread flour if it is available or else you can use all purpose flour.
Hi Bincy, can I use instant yeast? Thank you.
Hi Bincy, thanks for teaching this no-knead recipe. I would like to try, even though I don't have any baking experience. Could you tell me the size of your pan? Thanks!
Hi Bincy,
Love all your recipes. I have tried so many of them. My family loves the cinnamon rolls. One question, is it ok to skip the egg in the recipe. My daughter is allergic to egg and just cannot have it.
Much love from Kerala.
Hi Remya,No problem. In most of the bread recipes we can substitute adding one egg with 40-45 ml milk or water.I have tested almost all of our bread recipes with and without egg. With love, Bincy.
Very good recipe to follow.
Hello Bincy!
