  1. Butter :113 g or 1/2 cup
  2. Sugar :67g or 1/4 cup +1 tbsp
  3. Flour :146g or 1 cup + 2 tbsp

HOW TO MAKE 3 INGREDIENT SUGAR COOKIES

3 ingredient sugar cookies can be made in a very simple method .

We can make this easy sugar cookies in three simple steps.

1.Just mix the sugar cookie ingredients in a bowl

In to a bowl add in the softened butter and the sugar and whisk them together until the butter is pale yellow in color.

Add the flour and combine together to form a sugar cookie dough.

2.Shape the cookies

Scoop the cookie mix into a spoon for making the sugar cookies even in shape.

Here I have used 1/2 tbsp scoop.

Roll it into a small round ball and place them on a parchment lined baking sheet.

Make imprints on cookies or flatten the cookies to form plain sugar cookies.

3.Bake the butter cookies

Bake the 3 ingredient cookies at 325 F preheated oven for around 18 minutes or until the edge of sugar cookies become lightly golden in color.

HOW TO MAKE SUGAR COOKIES CRISPY

These sugar cookies will be crispy when baked at 325 F for around 18 minutes.Check the underneath of these cookies and if they are golden brown in colour,it means the cookies are baked well.

After baking, the sugar cookies will be tender and soft .

Let the cookies sit on the pan itself for about 2 minutes. Then transfer them on to a cooling rack and let them cool down completely.

These sugar cookies will become crispy as they cool down.

CAN I USE OIL INSTEAD OF BUTTER IN THIS EASY COOKIE RECIPE

Yes you can use any oil preferably, flavorless oil like canola oil in place of butter in this easy cookie recipe.

You may need to add one or two tablespoon extra flour if you find the dough very loose.

CAN I MAKE THIS 3 INGREDIENT SUGAR COOKIES WITH MARGARINE INSTEAD OF BUTTER

Yes you can make this 3 ingredient sugar cookies with same amount of margarine in place of butter.But,
1)the sugar cookies will spread more and so they will become thinner than the cookies that are made with butter.
2)as margarine does not have that buttery smell, you can add a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the cookie dough to bring that beautiful aroma to our cookies.

HOW TO STORE THESE SUGAR COOKIES

    Hi Bincy, I saw your recipe in youtube last night then I watched it. This morning I made it! I love it ! It’s easy, not taking a long time and only needs 3 ingredients, sooo nice!! I was skeptical at first because I’ve been making sugar cookies and they always need to be chilled at least two hours. Now we don’t have to wait long. My cookie monster family would be happy !     I’m wondering if you’re using salted or un-salted Butter, and if the Flour is plain or self-rising??

      Hi Donna,I have used unsalted butter and the flour is plain flour.We don’t need baking powder..You will be surprised to see how these easy 3 ingredient cookies will turn out πŸ™‚

    I bake lots of cookies, have tons of recipes, but this recipe surprised me like no other. Three simple ingredients. And they are fantastic. Make two batches. One exactly as written (decorated with a little finishing sugar). The second, I added 1/2 tsp vanilla and 1/2 cup mini-chocolate chips. Both were excellent.
